Dumfries and Galloway has long been home to a wealth of artistic talent, inspired by this area of outstanding natural beauty. Among the artists who live and work here are seven professional photographers who comprise the Galloway Photographic Collective. They have joined forces to promote their work, across a range of disciplines including traditional landscape photography of Scotland, wedding and portrait photography, editorial, wildlife, and staged narrative, fantasy photography.
The Collective currently comprises of seven members. To the eastern shore of Loch Ken is Allan Wright; in central Castle Douglas you can find Kim Ayres; Roger Lever is in Dalbeattie; Laura Hudson Mackay is based in New Abbey; Tom Langlands is out East in Annan; while Holly Burns and David Moses are to the West in Newton Stewart.
They provide a variety of exhibitions, open studio days, workshops, talks and events throughout the year.
