Allan Wright

Scotland’s drama and beauty. Fine art images of nature, landscape & cityscape.  Photographic tuition and stock image bank.

One of Scotland’s foremost Landscape Photographers, Allan Wright has been photographing Scotland and his adopted homeland of Galloway for 30 years. The Scottish landscape in classic, literal and abstract forms is the focus of the majority of his work, and Allan has developed a distinctive style of interpreting landscape through his use of colour and his handling of light.

His impressive body of work includes publications for the brand ‘Lyrical Scotland’, associated commercial activities for prestige clients as well as photography which is more personal and exploratory in nature.

Allan is happy to show his work to the public at his Studio in Parton on the banks of Loch Ken near Castle Douglas by appointment – contact details below

Allan provides aspiring photographers with inspiration, technique and advice on seeking out and producing beautiful and artistic images through his teaching workshops that take place regularly throughout the year in both Galloway and Arran.

An extensive online photographic image bank is also available.

“I am primarily interested in getting images that display lyricism and a powerful sense of place, using composition colour and light to transmit the essence of the subject.”
