Laura Hudson Mackay is renowned for her specialist black and white art photography, her intuitive composition and the ability, through her work to bring stillness to our constantly evolving and accelerating world.
As a photographic artist, Laura primarily spends her time working from her studio in Dumfries and Galloway where, using both film and digital cameras she passionately documents fine detail, paying particular attention to structure and form.
Laura also has a base in Morocco from where she provides photographic tours of the ancient walled city of Marrakech and nearby High Atlas and Sahara desert.
Inspired by Celtic lore, Laura strives to create images with a complex simplicity, reflecting the Celtic esoteric spirit and culture. Laura’s current project is challenging her further as she explores the meanings of ‘time’.
